Flat color commission for RootTheGoat on Mastodon who wanted a Mystery Dungeon Entei but it had to be in ¾ view! (All the official Entei images are either ⅞ or forward facing, even the anime frames!)

Entei's design has always fascinated me. At first glance, it's a chinese new year lion, but at the second glance, you start to pick up some bird-like elements, which at third glance turn out to be not bird-like at all! (For instance its "feather crown", inspected closely, turn out to be horns!) Only now that I've drawn it, do I begin to see what actually makes it a legendary dog (the easiest to explain is the ears: straight off a Cocker Spaniel!)

This was done under the terms for my special offer for pokémon commissions, meaning Root did not specify the pose, I just picked what I thought an Entei in the Mystery Dungeon universe would be like.
