Full background commission for

Some of my struggles with this one got me thinking on a new approach to more complex scenes like this. I want to try bringing in some digital finishing to help with more dramatic lighting and special effects. I'm also thinking about trying out doing the background and characters as separate elements, so that I'm not so limited by paper size. It would change what the commissioner eventually holds in their hands, but they'd have a better overall image I think, so I'll experiment with some of my personal projects first and see if you guys like it.

I hoped you’d like the boots. I thought originally that she was wearing black knee-highs in the ref you sent me but then I realized that was just her markings. So I had to design something on the fly to go with the rest of the outfit. 😅
