Dragon #3! The first girl of the cast to get uploaded, and the first one to have both her alt outfits consolidated into one submission (sorry Katsuya).
Ruby is not based on a D&D character I played, but she was ultimately inspired by D&D. Flashback to 2009. Flipping through the 4E Players' Handbook at Borders back when they existed and before Amazon ate them, I saw that dragonborn were an official default option for the first time. Being at the start of my still-ongoing dragon kick, I immediately fell in love. I was particularly interested in one illustration: what my vague memories insist was a buff red dragonborn axe fighter. The art was likely intended to be traditionally masculine, but I interpreted them as a butch woman and enjoyed that interpretation very much.
Fast forward to 2016-ish. I desire dragon OCs with color-themed names. The red one gets to be Ruby. Most of these ideas get retired, but Ruby gets to stay because I realize I can give her an anthro form that matches the cool art from my memories. The exact form went through a few changes. At one point, she was going to be a rival pirate to Blake and dual-wield axes as a reference to the pirates from GBA Fire Emblem. The rival pirate idea was scrapped, but I decided to keep the dual-wielding axes because why the hell not :P
Unfortunately the saturated red looks a bit overwhelming in the Heroforge figure. Hopefully that won't be as much of an issue if I get future pieces of her. Also I hope the scalehair doesn't ruin the butch look, though it's not as prominent at the angles I screenshot.
WIP lore is that Ruby comes from a family of glassblowers. She gets involved in faeworld adventures, which is how she gets the outfit on the right. She's in a lebsbiabs (sorry, I love that meme) relationship with Marina, another member of the cast who also has a concept figure that I plan to upload later. She has very shounen hero energy, but the finer details of her personality are still very WIP.
Mercifully short description compared to the last two :P
