I wanted to give Shivah's post-nuke design an update to give it a more stylized, unique look. Something that better suits their design inspiration, which heavily takes from Native American culture and artwork. Luckily, Plumdevil took similar inspiration with their mask, stemming from the Wendigo, a similarly Native folklore creature.
