I FINALLY HAVE A PROPER REF SHEET!!!! I AM SO HAPPY!!
Ref sheets are big important pieces, so this deserves text!!!
I am absolutely in love with how this turned out!
gyuunori opened up, at a perfect time! Having just received a commission not long before, I was so sure the style would fit perfectly, and holy crap did that work out! They also went and added some awesome changes, that just makes the design that much better! Everything just got a whole lot cooler, and I'm all for it!!
I gotta say, that first expression is just great! :D
Here are the things that have been changed!
Knees are now plated! Those plates are a darker tone, to blend in with the rest!
- I was always slightly iffy about the old thigh plates. It felt like they stopped too abrupt, so this is just perfect!
Wings got a small change! Now has a clear "point" at the bend! The black plates now also bleed on to the base of the wing arm! ALSO the membrane has a slight gradient, again just make things blend nicely!
- Again just nice to have fixes, that fixes mistakes I made with the model back then, and makes the design follow through, start to finish!
Back and tail also got touched up! The black plates from the neck, now continue CLEARLY down the back, and along the tail! Before it used to just be around the base of the tail, and the back wasn't clear at all. The bright plates along the back were also redesigned slightly!
- Same as with the wings, it's all about the design making sense and fixing mistakes!
I'm so glad to finally be rid of the old 3D model ref sheet! It worked, but it just wasn't clear enough. It was supposed to be temporary!
That ended up being 8 years of temporary! :V
BUT HERE WE ARE! I can't wait to throw this around! :D
