Okay buds got another one for you. This time vampires, but instead of any kind of undead they're based off mosquitos.

Vampires in spite of their reputation aren't nearly as imposing as one might think. Only females drink blood and only when they're either ovulating or about to lay eggs which only happens during the summer months. They hardly ever take enough blood from one host to kill them preferring to drink a little from one then move on to the next. The real danger comes from the fact that they have a habit of unintentionally spreading blood born illnesses through the process of blood sucking. Though as more vampires have become aware of this they have made efforts to practice sterilizing their proboscis after each host.

Male vampires on the other hand don't drink blood at all. They instead subsist on a diet of fruit juice, nectar and far more than occasionally for some fruit based alcohol. While mostly harmless a lot of them do enjoy the aesthetic of an 'evil overlord' but don't really have the heart to do anything actually evil. What this means is that they'll typically find abandoned castles or mansions to squat in, swan around like they own the place and drink all day. They don't usually don't put up much of a fight when asked to leave but occasionally a specialist has to be called in to chase them out.

While slightly photosensitive most don't really have an issue with coming out in day light. Females prefer the night as it's better for hunting while males prefer to come out during the day where they can show off their wings to others. Some vampires go as far as to sprinkle body glitter on themselves so they sparkle in the sunlight, however this is considered tacky even by the standards of other vampires.
