To become a member of a youth punk teen gang and slowly advance to one of the leaders? - I'm sure that Madeline would have the intelligence and stubbornness to achieve this. But it seemed that this was not her destiny.
It is not known in detail what happened and what Maddy saw, but it made a great impression on her. A dispute arose between her and the current leader of the gang, and everything went so far, that Madeline decided to leave them.

Then Madeline returned home for a short time, although she was in no rush to rebuild her relationship with her parents.
They accepted her back, but... - To tell the truth, her mother was not a very good mother. And her stepfather ... he just was.
They weren't a bad pathological family, - they were just different people with different goals, dreams, and worldviews.

They are glad that she left the bad company and followed a good path. They even agreed to pay part of the amount for her education, but Chakona is a pretty good place, and because Madeline was really good in college - the government even covered most of her payments anyway.
They were proud - but Madeline left her parents behind anyway, seeking for her own place in the world.

Maybe she could become a therapist or psychologist, or even a school consultant - but fate had another way for her.
So one day Madeline met her future husband and got married, leaving her past behind.
