If the whole "take ships across" thing feels a little shoehorned, it's because I thought of it rather late in the writing process, but like a lot of my last edits/should-have-edits, it makes a lot of sense. And hey, look! Girl dragons! :3

As I said, that they took ships instead of doing more flying was a late addition, so I just kind of threw it in there without considering doing something longer with it. Might have been interesting to see Vallen doing some more leading, and maybe the recalcitrance of some of the dragons who don't really get any face time...
