A scene almost exactly like this was originally going to be the ending of the “Class Warfare” two-parter. That ending would have resolved Cass and Jen’s argument from the beginning of that arc, with Cass voluntarily giving an on-camera interview to a news crew, which Cass and Noah later watch, like they do here.
As writing and drawing “Class Warfare Part II” dragged on and on, I rehashed it several times, and eventually wrote a completely different ending. I really liked the original scene, though, so I held onto the script to be reworked as the ending to Phase Three instead.

The funny thing is that, since I got all three pages at once, looking at this thumbnail first in was like "Who is this new short-haired human character?"
On that point, I wonder how weird that is for the characters themselves now. Cass goes up to someone and says hey, and they stand there silently trying to figure out who she is.

It's been a heck of a ride. I'm grateful for all the work you've put into this, and while I'm eager to see where it goes, take as much time as you need for a break. ^_^
I wonder if Flint is going to be championing the cause of voluntary permanent transformations in society, and over the years there'll be slowly more and more anthros around. ^_~

I love this ending for the main storyline! Writing a story this complex and wrapping up all the (major) threads this satisfyingly is a major, major accomplishment. I've been reading UTC on and off since shortly after it started, and I couldn't imagine a better ending for Phase 3.
