My first real flash animation
I wanted to do a step towards my future. Adobe Illustrator turned out to be TERRIBLE, so I decided to instead learn Flash to make the trinity of programs (Photoshop, Flash and Illustrator) complete and this way improve my qualifications.
I finally understood a LOT of mistakes I've done before and why I couldn't even make a simple animation.
The arms and legs were simple stuff... Feet were more complex stuff, but Head and tail were the advanced stuff.
I know it's shitty, but HEY! I've just started with it. It's ok for a first try! Try to make it less painful to watch by playing something like this in the back, ok?

If you're afraid to redraw everything, just lower the framerate.
A walk cycle can be made in as few as 4 frames. Take your time sketching everything.
I don't recommend you draw, ink and color each frame at once, rather, you sketch all the frames, ink them and color them together. It's not that scary, especially if you have a graphics tablet (highly recommend you to buy one, it's great for both art and animation. And makes a great alternative for a mouse too)
