I wasn't born part-snail - it was the result of a wizard's curse when I was a kid. I get magic medication in the mail that gives me hands and lets me grow back to human size, but sometimes I'm still awake when the effect wears off, and I wonder how many other kids went through this kind of spell and never came back from it.

My house feels big enough living on my own, but when I'm this size, it feels truly cavernous.
