Seriously tho, this movie is really stupid.
There is a good idea in there somewhere, and the characters are likeable enough, but the tone of it goes all over the place. The constant flashbacks to the brothers' life ride that uncomfortable line between being cringe worthy and boring. The movie's namesake doesn't make a lot of sense either, and the acting is all over the place.
Had this been, say, a shorter movie or an animated movie, I would feel differently about it. But as it is, it's not a complete film.

Not really 4th of July themed, but hey. I like how I didn't even need an excuse to draw Kiara from The Lion King, they just sent me an ask for a movie featuring lions and I just went hog with it. It's true what they say, the Lion King art style is a freaking nightmare.
Also, yes, Movie Slate is totally fondling Kiara's beans.

I... actually liked that movie more than I thought I would. I kept expecting there to be an annoying "liar revealed" moment where the kid would discover that all of the stories had been made up, and loose respect for his (uncles? I forget what they were), but that never happened, and it made the whole experience kind of refreshing for me.
