Lore: Arnold was the second-born son of a prestigious family. His father was a war hero who fought in the royal army. Arnold took great pride in his family banner and studied in the arts of combat. He trained by the sword, horse riding, and tactical campaigning. When he came of age, his brother invited him to handle a diplomatic situation with a rival house. Though during his travel did he uncover that the conditions of the common folk were greatly threatened by bandits and monster attacks. Arnold called out the rival house for lacking in their oaths to protect their land and insist he take matters into his own hands. His ambitions to prove to his family and his men lead him down a path of bloodshed. He discovered the local merchant lord's son was responsible and executed him on the spot along with those involved without trial. When he returned home feeling victorious he was greeted as a fool. Arnold's action didn't bring justice but demanded retribution from the other houses who threatened to abandon their oaths to their family banner. His father was forced disowned to him and his brother was set into a political marriage to keep the peace. Arnold felt disgraced but knew he couldn't be a hero under political bonds. He left his homeland and traveled to take upon mercenary work in hopes to prove to his family he was worthy of being a real hero.
