Lore: Deep in the valley of hills with giant trees growing at the bottom of mountains lived a dwarf carpenter. He was a free-spirited rugged person in his youth. Marcus was a great sportsman from fishing, hiking, and even boar wrestling. He could never settle down or get in competitions to prove he was the best. Until his mother passed did he make an effort to continue the family business. For years he cut down trees, and carve up furniture and tools for commission. Marcus one day worked on fixing an old wagon from a traveling merchant who told him of his travels. The imagery of the exotic places and landscapes filled his thoughts with curious wander. Marcus loved to explore but never left the hills for so many years. He felt himself getting rusty and stagnant over time. Until one day, he returned to find his home destroyed by a hill giant. In anger, Marcus cut down the giant but passed out after suffering serious injuries. He woke up the following day realizing his accomplishment and had a taste for hunting monsters. He didn't want to waste his last days dying in the hills but explore the world. He believed he was better than that and gathered the weapons and tools to journey to become a huntsman.
