I'm not really any good with names of species. I came up with N'Rachus, just because they were spider-based. All of the names I could come up with, I've already used for my own stuff. :c
Since they're magical/elemental, you could either use Faer (the Illythiiri word for magic), or give them clan names based on their element ('Chath' for fire or 'Veldrin' for shadows, etc). Of course, these are all Illythiiri (Drow) terms, so I'm sure you'll want to use your own.
Sorry I couldn't be more help. :<

A long time ago, someone made some characters similar in design to Ave. Instead of getting pissed, I was like "Hey, I wanna make a species out of it!" and asked if she wanted to help. She agreed and so she named them and we worked on them together. I always assumed it was my species, with her suggestions, she assumed it was our species. Well, we eventually stopped being friends, and I didn't want to give up the Elfane, so I kept them. She apparently decided since that half of the species was hers, she could keep whatever ideas she wanted(like the soul roses, which was 100% my idea, but since they're part of the Elfane, apparently she can use it too).
I realized how hypocritical it is of me to continue calling them by a name she gave me if I'm going to be upset about her using my ideas. So, I'm throwing out almost all of the ideas she gave me, in addition to the ideas she took from me(except things I'm attached to, like their magic and roses). I already confronted her about using my ideas, and she denied everything so she's probably not going to change it, so that's why I'm changing mine.
TL;DR: I'm butthurt about idea sharing and want my own unique species with their own unique world. As it is right now, since she just took what she wanted and changed it, it just seems like we have the same world seen through two different eyes. I'd rather they be two completely different worlds.

The Mahi
( Japanese: Magic = Mahou )
The Aneia
( Greek: [ Anima = "life" , "breath of life" , "the vital principle" ] + [ magic = mageia ] )
The Elaeri
The Fauro
(Random)
TheknightWhoSayNI
(I am evil...)
When I need to come up with a name with meaning, I usually play around with dead languages (like Latin)
or generally old languages like Greek.
Hope it helped you somewhat :3.

Why not cal them the Subrosarean? (Or however it was spelled?) And a short prefix for the types, like 'Ra Subrosarean' and 'Set Subrosarean'
Admittedly, it seems rather a mouthful, but I stand by the prefix system; either for the two types, or one for each element.
How about Lahri, or Lahre(e) (pronounced La~Ree; long 'a'). It means nothing at all, but it's short, and I think it sounds pretty nice.
