Honestly, while I agree it did boost the original game's visibility, I heard about Snoot Game first, and I personally found it to be far more gratifying and enjoyable of an experience playing it than GVH. The initial intentions of its existence might have been in bad taste and perhaps even a crude and insensitive parody, but I think the dev made the right choice of redeveloping it into a wonderful and beautifully organic love story, and was done rather well in my opinion.
