If you like this picture you can commission me here http://vaporeonlugiakrabby.homestea.....mmissions.html .
Collaboration with Lee46 http://www.furaffinity.net/user/lee46 of Fur Affinity. He did the lines, I did everything else.
Offered Lee46 of Fur Affinity to color one of his Mewtwo pictures, if I could find one that was semi-inspiring. He eventually drew the line art for this picture, and I figured that at least it was something sort of workable. The last time I did something like this was to one of Mewsagi's very old sketches and while (no offense) hers was dull in terms of what one could really do with a background, at least the lines were clean! I probably should have just redrawn the lines in this case, but then again, I think it's somewhat insulting to the other artist's integrity.
The picture is of his Mewtwo Sai, all decked out in armor and carrying a big freaking sword, ala Soul Calibur Siegfried style. And on my end I went for something epic with the whole, looking over a valley and a sunrise.
Again, the line work was very thick and very messy and anything in terms of the character outside of coloring and shading was not my doing. The background on the other hand was a compilation from about 7 of my other images' backgrounds. It's amazing how fast the turn around time on this was when I didn't have to actually draw and I didn't have to actually create any new material. Who needs texture overlays when I basically have my own stock.
Photoshop CS4.
