Dorathea, the Padded Princess of the Ghosts Dragons
Hello eveyrcreature! Surprised for seeing me again so soon? I guess that's what happens when you feel inspired, oh well... I'm going to tell you a little secret, I love dragons so much!!! I know, a big and unexpected confession. That's why I bring you another dragon for this new submission.
You may remember my previous artwork of Snowball, the three-headed dragon of Cosmo in the Fairly Odd Parents show. I realized a short while ago that another Butch Hartman's show featured nice dragons, Danny Phantom. I reminded then how I liked so much the character of Princess Dorathea when I watched the show as a kid. If I remember well, she was a ghost princess that turned into a giant dragon when she was angry, and also had a necklace that will make the same effect on whoever wears it.
And that's how I decided to draw a bit smaller version of this draggy wearing diapers hehe nwn. I worked really hard to imitate show's art style as well as possible, including the ghost appearance effects, and also making the diaper look as show accurate as possible. I love so much how the final result looks nwn and I think it is a great contribution to Dorathea's fanarts, because it seems to be just a few ones out there. I really hope you like it!
Don't you think she is the cutest ghost dragon wearing diapers you've ever seen? :3 She is on my top 3 for sure :P

This is certainly a very special work of art, Sweetie. The first reason is that you made the first ghost dragon I have ever come across in all 15 years I have been a part of our 'little' community. The The second exciting part of this post is how, as you said yourself, there is not much, if any, Dorathea art out on the internet to find. Finding Dorathea in pamps puts your art in, likely, a handful of images someone can find while surfing the world wide web.

I like to imagine how you created the 'ghost effect' for Dorathea. Ghosts tend to have varying levels of transparency given to them to help the viewer know they are either no longer of this mortal life, or are some kind of astral projection / mutant ability of the one taking on a ghostly appearance.
For a dragon that is a ghost, as I never have physically seen this character, I like to imagine that Dorathea has only a bit of transparency. (If you ever saw the Casper movie from the 1990s, the level of transparency that Casper has when he is being his friendly ghost self without trying to impress Cat, or avoid his uncles / The ghostly Trio.).
What, in my imagination, works for this character is thinking that her body has a 'Lava Lamp' style of moving. This is to say her scales from head-to-toe kind of gently 'bubble' as they very slowly move up and down her body. (I know this is not accurate, but I enjoy when I have a chance to open my imagination based upon an idea I never had thought of before.).

Thank you for, once again, finding a character who has been in much need of quality, padded art. I am sure others will love to see her, too. :)

Oh yes, I feel really proud of what was I able to do in this artwork. I realized that I made a big perspective mistake, but well, it doesn't look but anyways. My favorite part of doing these artworks is how, since those shows are older than the HD TV standard, most of them have an original low resolution, so, since my artworks are usually higher than 2K resolution, they look pretty much like a big graphical upgrade to the show. I'm pretty sure that fans of those cartoons would appreciate that a lot.
Of course, being Dorothea a ghost, she features some transparency and a kind of halo around her, as you were describing, the typical representation of non-alive creatures. But additional to this, one interesting detail to the Danny Phantom style is how they used really saturated colors. Best way to describe them is as the main color you can choose in Microsoft Paint. Do you know what I'm talking about Yosh? Those strong yellows, greens, blues and reds? Those really saturated colors usually not recommended for digital art because how they can mess your creations if you're not careful, are mainly used in the show to represent ghosts. It is really nice if you ask to me.
