Nivai and Tide are dating for a month now. That was the best part of Navi's life. Tide really often came to visit her at the beach or her cave, and he convinced almost whole town she isn't dangerous. Nivai didn't feel lonely anymore, now she had a lot of friends. She loved all her friends and she loved to spend time with them, but time spent with tiny shark boyfriend was the best and most special.
Because it passed a month from their first encounter, giant pink dragon decided to make a special surprise for that occasion.
She was never the great cook, maybe because she just swallowed anything edible without preparing, but she must try for her boyfriend. So she thought, and thought, until she remembered "Sushi. It can't be that hard, right." She easily scooped few big fishes, clean them with her claws, add some salt and done. Sushi was ready. "What is a dinner without a dessert?" Only she could do as dessert was put some fruit in a giant stone bowl. Better than nothing. From local forest she scooped everything she tough it would be good: bananas, coconuts, oranges and pineapples. For her size it was like she was picking strawberries or any other small berry fruit, but she succeeded.
Nivai still had plenty of time before evening. "What to do?" It was still too early to get ready. "Oh! I know." She came up with a brilliant idea; she will make a gift for him. The gift which will represent their love, she will carve a drawing of them in a nearby cliff. 3 kilometers from the cave, she founded a perfect spot. After 5 hours, it was done. And she still had plenty of time to get ready.
She washed herself in a waterfall 5 kilometers from her cave. Now she just needs to get dressed. Most of the time she just wore her favorite orange swimsuit, but for this she must wear something special. Luckily, her town friends made a beautiful white summer dress with sunflowers (they made her that as an apology gift). It wasn't difficult to put it on, it just had to be pulled over the head, and she still had enough comfort for her huge wings and tail. "Perfect. Now I'm ready." Only one task left, pick up Tide.
When she came to his beach house, she lowered herself to door level and gently knocked.
"Huh?" Tide stood up from the bed and went to see what is outside. "Oh, Nivai it's you."
"Hey Tide. Are you busy?"
"No. I'm free. Why? Do you have something on mind?"
"Well... I thought if you are free, maybe we can go on a date. What do you say?"
"For you, I always have time. Sure let's go."
"Great."
"Just give me a moment to get ready."
"Take your time. I will wait." It passed 3 minutes when little shark boy came out in black tank top and black trunks, because he only saw her head, his jaw dropped on sight of dragoness in white dress. "Ummm. Tide, are you ok?"
"Yes, everything is fine. Just... You look perfect in that dress."
"Aww. Thank you."
"Where did you even get it? I never saw you in it."
"Citizens made it for me. They said, it's an apology for being rude."
"They made an amazing job. And what is occasion?"
"It's a surprise."
"Then... Should we go, my lady?"
"Oh stop it. Hahaha. Yeah sure, let's begin." She placed her palm on the beach so Tide could climb on, and went towards the cave.
When they arrived, she puts down little shark on the ground. "Wait here for a second." From cave, she pulled a huge blanket made of palm leaves and a huge stone plate, which was also covered in palm leaves. The final result was picnic on the beach. She removed leaves from the plate. "Ta-da! Sushi and fruit! What do you say? I know it isn’t anything special, but...."
"You made this all?"
"Y-yes."
"It's amazing."
"Really?"
"Yes. I know it was really hard for you. And you still made it."
"Aww. Then dig in." Tide took big pics of fish and started to eat. He didn't have anything against raw fish, and he knew how hard it is to make something when you are tall as skyscraper, so he just enjoyed their date. When Tide finished eating, Nivai swallowed what he left. They enjoyed like that for an hour when Nivai asked. "Are you ready for the next part of the date?"
"There is more?"
"Well yes. You didn’t think this is it. And it's a special surprise."
"Oh you. Hahaha."
"Is that yes?"
"Of course. I wouldn't miss your surprises for anything in the world."
"Then let's go." When Tide was secured on dragoness palm, she made her way towards the cliff. It only took her about 3 minutes. "You can open your eyes now."
When Tide opens his eyes, he couldn't believe it. Drawing was carved perfectly, it was like looking into a mirror. Little Tide is hugging big nuzzle of dragoness, while Nivai is giving big a hug back. He didn't say anything.
"Tide?"
"Oh, sorry. Did you make this?"
"Y-yes."
"This is amazing! So beautiful, so realistic!"
"So... You like it?"
"Of course I like it!"
"Awww. Thank you, I just gave my best for today."
"You still didn't tell me why all of this."
"Well... It's a month since we started dating. And you helped me so much. So I thought I could give a little surprise."
"Oh. That's why. Is there anything more?"
"N-no. I didn't plan anything else. Sorry."
"Well, we still have time before bed. What do you say about good old night swimming?"
"Yes! That would be perfect. Just give me a second." She put him down on the beach and took off her dress, revealing her in orange swimsuit.
"Hehe. Looks like someone is ready."
"Oh shush." She scooped him up and put him between her boobs, what made shark boy all red in the face. "Is little shaky embarrassed?"
"N-no."
"Hahaha. Let's just go." When she reached enough deep water, she started to float on her back. "Ahhh. That's life."
"You can say that again." They float like that for 5 minutes when Tide speaks up. "Nivai."
"Hm?"
"I love you."
"I love you too."
