General context:
Thought of a visual novel/rpg thing. You're called in to investigate a spooky mansion with a vampire butler and a whole bunch of kooky characters.
Thinkin like, him and others that lived there are cursed and need your help with breaking it as an exorcist. Build a nice party with them.
All of the cast will eventually pass on by the end of the story for bittersweet moments, but it's mostly played out to be mostly lighthearted with dark undertones.

The main character, you, are liable for your party's actions. While you are armed with a fire arm and some occult and holy knickknacks and doodads, you aren't the most self sufficient. Issuing commands and using items to your advantage and keeping your ghostly besties in top shop are your best bet for survival for if they are incapacitated, then you will be next in line to die. You'd be able to perform new abilities as you progress. Think of yourself as a Pokemon trainer of sorts. You'd have no HP to worry about as you wouldn't be targeted, your only responsibility is to make it through dungeons with the help from your crew, and in turn you'll help them properly pass into the afterlife.
