Why be normal when you can be LEGENDARY? 🐉 🦄 🦅 🧜
The first of my series of four mythical prints, inspired by some of my favourite creatures from legend and folklore. I picked of the four to have loose ties to different elements!
First up: the griffin (or gryphon if you prefer)! Drawing feathery things brings me joy. This valiant creature represents the element of air! The griffin is in a rampant pose, which is sometimes seen in heraldry.
Fun fact: The University of Guelph's mascot is the gryphon! They have a huge statue of one at the campus entrance, perched atop a book. I first stumbled upon it by mistake while visiting a friend, and it is so charming! Take a look: https://www.uoguelph.ca/maps/locati.....gryphon-statue
