Well anyways this is a Subnautica inspired piece and what you see here is the Boneshark drone, chasing a peeper. The drone doesn't really have a name, but it has a lot of lore behind it.
After the happenings of Subnautica the happenings and findings around 4546B went around Alterra. Kaila Ni-Kicha, a 21 year old women from one of Alterras colony world's became obsessed with 4546B, she already loved marine life, but 4546B was something super special, she wanted to visit it so badly, but due her artificial heart she can't travel on any starship. But Kaila is a master in robotics and she started working on a robotic version of her most favorite creature from 4546B, the Boneshark. 3 years she spend working on it secretly, a friend of hers working at Alterras new formed Architect research profission slipped her some pieces of Architect technology retrieved from 4546B while the happenings of Below zero.
One of these technologies is a long range communications device, allowing for stable data transfer over long distances without any delay.
When Kaila completed the drone, she let her friend send it off to 4546B, to the crater where the Aurora had crashed long ago, disguised as a Alterra own created research project about the marine sea life of 4545B.
Sure enough it arrived at its designation and was set out, Kaila controls the drone directly from a VR Interface, while she can't control it it runs on a AI.
The drone has a self repair unit, a bio reactor for gaining power for it'd 2 ion energy cells from fish it eats. It also has a shield module and a crush depth of 2000 meters. Driven by a hydraulic system, it's jaws able to crush metal which it can digest to gain materials for the self repair unit.
Kaila created this drone to explore 4546B and also... life as a creature of the planet, as much as she can everyday besides her work and studying.
