Next morning, Molly tried to convince to let her visit Oscar, just like she had promised him.
“What?” Boomer said. “You want to visit Oscar now?”
“Why not, daddy?” Molly said. “This could be a perfect chance to strengthen ties between our family and the Montahughs!”
“I- uh…”
“Just let her do it, Boomer.” Molly’s mom said. “Yesterday you saw how Oscar is so sweet and innocent, and means no harm to our family. Besides, now we know he didn’t bite Molly’s tail and ear, right?”
“But Fluffy, dear…” Boomer said. “I’m afraid to let Molly go to that dogg house. What if it’s all filthy and messy?”
“Don’t worry, daddy. I spent lots of days lost in the Western Frontier Park, remember? Surely I can handle a whole day at Oscar’s. Besides, when I return home, I can have myself a relaxing bubble bath! You know how much I love them.”
Molly’s dad laughed.
“Okay, Molly dear, you win. You can visit Oscar. Now, go get ready.”
“Yes, daddy. Thank you!”
Molly hugged her father and went to prepare herself for Oscar to see her prettier than ever. First of all, she took another shower, because a future actress just can’t have enough beauty baths. When she came out of the bathroom, she put on some familiar clothes. They were the same clothes she wore when she first met Oscar. She wanted him to feel this one as a really special occasion. When Molly laid down on her bed, thinking of all the activities she and Oscar were going to do, she suddenly caught a funny scent. She opened her mouth and widened her eyes to analyze this scent. It came from behind her pillows. When she lifted them, she found her socks, slobbery and bitten by Oscar. Instead of getting mad, she just let out a stifled laugh and said.
“Oscar…”
She grabbed them and hid them in the closet. She knew her parents would hate Oscar if they found out what he did to their daughter’s expensive socks! When she got down stairs, her parents were waiting for her, and greeted her with a hug.
“I and your mom will miss you… my precious little sea pearl.” Molly’s dad said.
“Aw, dad! You’re making me blush!” Molly said.
“And that make you even more beautiful!”
Molly’s dad kissed her cheek.
“Look, Molly.” Molly’s mom said. “It’s your favorite coat. You might need it in case the weather gets chilly.”
“Oh, thank you, mom! And do not worry, I’ll try not to get it dirty.”
“Here, have some of your favorite cheddar fishy snacks for the way.” Molly’s dad said.
“Wow, thank you, daddy!” Molly said. “Do you have any peanut butter dip?”
“Huh? Peanut butter dip?” Molly’s dad asked. “Who combines cheddar cheese and peanut butter?”
“Heh, it’s something Oscar taughrt me.”
“Here it is, Molly.” Molly’s mom said, giving her a tiny plastic vase with peanut butter.
“I love you, mom and dad!” Molly said, hugging them. “I’m gonna miss you both!”
“Us too, Molly.” Molly’s mom said.
“Yeah, whatever.” Blade said. “Go have fun with Oscar and stay there as much as you can. Oh, and please take a look at his games and let me know if my games are better than his!”
“Sigh… Will do, brother.” Molly said, rolling her eyes.
Then, Molly walked out the door and waved goodbye at her parents. She waited for the bus to arrive and upon getting in it, she headed to Doggsylvania. What surprises were awaiting for her at Oscar’s home?
