A little reference how I imagine Jack's place. He owns the property and has rented out the right wing to a squirrel guy owning a landscaping business. Jack gave him the area in the triangle between house and the two roads to store equipement. In the middle part lifes a elderly couple hedgehogs. The left wing is Jack's part.

Located on the beautiful forest rich edge of the Meadowlands, the house was build in the early days of Zootopia and was a mill in it's first life. As the city council decided to devide the city districts and start climatic zoning in the late 1940s early 1950s the main water scource for the already struggling mill was redirected into the Rain Forest district close by.
After that the mill was used for various things until finally left abandoned.
Jack bought the place and renovated it.
Now all what remains of the buildings first life is a broken damn and a small trickle of water in the garden.
