Of all the Diesel Locomotives that Union Pacific has/had on there roster one of my favorites would have the the EMD DD40AX aka "The Big Jacks" "6900's" "Centennial".
Two of my favorites are UP 6946 at the Western Pacific Railroad Museum in Portola, California.
UP 6916 witch is owned by the Utah state railroad museum in Ogden Utah.
and UP 6936 the only DD40AX that still runs. Today its undergoing machines to operations by the RRHMA.
