Went to another social event and instead of being social spent most of the time sitting at a table doodling again. Though this time I was at least having a few conversations here and there while I was drawing, so that's somewhat of an improvement. Was originally planning on going with a color image again but after drawing the head I kind of blanked on what I was going to do so just started shading in effects in the head and then eventually felt like drawing them playing a bass. Was at first doing it without reference since my phone sucks but my first attempt at drawing a bass made it look like a really goofy and crappy giant guitar thing. Thankfully someone was nice enough and showed me a reference image of what a double bass really looks like and I was able to fix the design of the instrument to something that looks like an actual instrument, though I probably have the hand positions way off. Even still, I think it turned out well enough. Total drawing time of 3 hours.
