The trick is, don't point the flashlight at the lense until you get to the head, that way the only lense flare you get is at the head.
Took like 15 tries to get this to look right, flishlight movement speed and shutter open time window and so on.
And yes, it's off the pillar for a reason I figured if anythign was manifesting itself like this, it wouldnt be on the pillar but kinda floating above it ^.^
