[Cortes] Litmus Test
Raf is generally willing to deal with and work with all sorts of people, both pleasant and unpleasant--and he conducts himself exceptionally well even under the worst management or peership. So when there's someone he refuses to associate with, it's not just a red flag. It's a spike field.

During our teen years, my younger brother was that person for me. I always knew when he said something along the lines of "I wouldn't, but ..." that I could stop listening and should just nope out of whatever was being talked about. If he shifted to a specific tone, I knew it was high risk and low reward, and if he then used that tone and gave a firm "no", I knew to back off immediately, no matter what was going on. Holding to that and learning what context clues to look out for really saved me from more confrontations with, manipulation from and situational traps set by bullies than I'll probably ever know.
This right here. I tend to be the person at my job (and general community since I volunteer a lot) that will try to work with just about anyone and will take on just about any task. If there is someone I flat out say 'no' to working with - people immediately pay attention.
