Sinh is the first of three cubs born to King Mahaan and Queen Sarani, the two ruling monarchs of the Night Pride at the time. He sadly loses his parents while he and his sisters were still cubs, both having been killed by what were presumed to be a rogues. After being chased off by an aardwolf, Sinh and his two sisters end up being taken in by Aamiina, a female wolf that their father had saved in the past. The cubs are well cared for by Aamiina and her pack, and his best friends growing up are a musk deer named Borka and a little fox who chose to call himself Mshindi.
As he is approaching adulthood, Sinh and his sisters end up being discovered by an aging lioness named Shahana, who introduced herself as their great aunt. It's from her that Sinh and his sisters learn about their heritage, that they were descended from lions that came from a faraway land outside of Africa, and that Sinh was destined to be the future ruler of the Night Pride. Sinh's uncle Kingo was currently the pride's ruler, and Shahana has suspected that he may have had something to do with his parent's untimely deaths, as Kingo was always jealous of both of them for being destined to rule. Believing that Kingo was the reason he and his sisters became orphans, Sinh now spends his time training for the day he would return to his home and challenge his uncle.
After his mane had grown in, Sinh ends up meeting a lioness named Fara, a current resident in the Night Pride who has been betrothed to Sinh when they were still cubs. Sinh only had had vague memories of meeting her when they were children, but they still hit it off nonetheless and Fara wholeheartedly supports him in his quest to avenge his parents. Once he has grown strong enough, Sinh finally returns to the Night Pride to challenge his uncle. After he defeats him in a mashindano, Kingo reveals to Sinh that he wasn't the one whole killed his parents. They were actually killed by a tiger named Khanish, whom Kingo has previously made a deal with to help him get rid of them so that he could become the Night Pride's ruler. Khanish would get rid of Sarani and Mahaan as long as Kingo could allow him and his fellow tigers to move into the kingdom once he became the new king. After Kingo is ousted from the Night Pride, Sinh then focuses his energy on tracking down Khanish, and eventually corners him in Cikha Escarpment. He beats the striped cat within an inch of his life, but Sinh finds that he just can't deliver the final blow. At the end of the day, his parents were still dead and killing their murderer wouldn't bring them back, and he'd be no better than Khanish if he straight up killed him. Khanish roars loudly and laughs at Sinh for being so foolish, but before he could attack him, he ends up being crushed by a rock slide that appeared to have been triggered by his own roar.
With their parent's killer finally brought to justice, Sinh and his two sisters return to the Night Pride where he takes his place alongside Fara as the rightful ruler of the Night Pride. After Bashir bids them farewell so that he could find his own herd to join, Mshindi chooses to remain with Sinh in the Night Pride where Sinh appoints the little canid as his majordomo. He and Fara have two cubs together, and while they face some challenges during their rules, Sinh leads the Night Pride well for many years to come.
So, I decided to incorporate that bonkers Italian-Korean Lion King knockoff series Simba The King Lion (or "The Lion Thing" as I like to call it) into my TLK fan universe. The DA user GreatMarta came up with the idea of Mondo!Simba being part of Rani's family tree and I liked it so much that I just HAD to borrow it. I chose to base Sinh off of his teenager design in the show since it looks less Simba clone-y.
Oh and if you're wondering how he's related to Rani and her family, Sinh is Janna's grandfather.
