The town you had come upon was nothing but a broken shell of its former self. Crumbling buildings, vacant streets, and not a living soul to be found. It was as if time itself had been frozen to its very core. However, you could travel no farther, and the first empty home you stumbled across would have to do.
It took a while, but just as you began to fall victim to the clutches of sleep, a clock from downstairs, one that had previously shown no signs of life, chimed into the silent night. Twelve times the rusty bells struck, as slowly, the keys of the broken piano you had seen prior, started to play. Curiously, you drag yourself from the old, dusty bed, and creep down the stairway. The haunting melody grew louder, as you soon approach the room where its source echoed. Your body freezes, as before you, sitting before the warn frame, a ghostly, female figure plays. Her motions are smooth but intense, her focus locked completely on her task as fingers grazed each key with precise skill. Wether stunned by fear, or captivated by her mournful expression, you can only stand and watch. That is until your body shifts forward, and the creaking of the old floorboards causes her to stop. Holding your breath, you gaze, watching as her head turns slowly. At first her face remains blank, but slowly, a smirk spreads over her muzzle, and with a gentle laugh, her body fades, vanishing completely along with the remaining echo of her saddening melody.
Finally, you find yourself back in control as you manage the courage to walk to where she once sat. However, no evidence of her existance remains. Was it all a dream, brought on by your fatigue? It's the only explaination you can come up with. That is...until you notice the fresh, blood-stained prints on the ivory keys that lay kissed by the pale moonlight and a chill runs up your spine...
All the little details on this took forever, but they were really fun to do, and I think they were worth it! :D
Even in death, Willow enjoys continuing to express herself through the melodies she plays on the piano.
I gave her a bit more of a ghostly glow for this one cause of the moon, since she really isn't a zombie, but a Physical Manifestation.
Some things didn't turn out perfect, but I'm still happy with it!

Now that's what I call a ghost story.
Although the wounds are still a bit unsettling, this is definitely a very-well done piece of work.
The hands' positioning and the way her legs are crossed are nicely done.
The mood of the whole piece really matches what the story says.
Great job!

On the black/white I totally didnt even notice the scratches and the tail-bone. I was so focused on the piano >.o (that's a lie, I noticed the scratch marks but assumed them to be tribal markings or fur tattoo's or something like that, but I did miss the tail-bone entirely)
So I was like, "Hey neat pic!" on b/w and then click on this "Must be better colored!" then looking *horror!*
Also, doesnt help I was diddling around with the game Call of Cthulhu Dark Corners of the Earth earlier >_>
