A leshy, protective and territorial as they tend to be, guards his forest home and all of it's inhabitants and will track down any trespasser who seeks to defile the woods by taking the fruits of nature excessively and without due respect. Thus many villagers and travelers see the Wood Folk as either nature's guardians or the manifestation of land's wrath. Poachers and disrespectful lumberjacks, however, see leshy as monsters from their worst nightmares, that can shoot a poison dart, fling a spear or entangle them with vines and drag the unfortunate victim into the darkest depths of the wood to feast on their flesh. Perhaps, all of those different view points have some truth in them.
