After a hard day's travel, good food and a good rest is the best way to recover.
Taking another bite of his meal, Crius felt his daughter curling up in his tail, and with a careful move he covered the sleeping girl with some of his cloak to keep her warm.
As she curled up further with the impromptu blanket, he smiled - for as she lay sleeping curled up in his tail, he felt a warm happiness far deeper than the campfire could provide.
