This was based off of the older downtown parts of Winnipeg. note the potholes ;)
I'm not quite satisfied with the colouring, because the original real life drawing of it is so much better! The scanner doesn't do it justice compared to the real physical thing.
This was made in my gray toned 5.5"x21.6" sketchbook, mechanical graphite 0.7 pencil for the darker parts, and peaces of soapstone i got from my welding class for the light parts. (soapstone works grate!! <3 ) then I scanned it into my computer and coloured and adjusted it in GIMP.
This took me about 4 Hours to complete in total.
Fun fact: I actually mirrored the image from the original."
