In truth no one alive can possibly say
That through each and every day
Not one sin is caused,
Because we’re all flawed.
We’re human; error in our nature,
Each path we take may lead to failure.
But without black, how could you see white?
Though it’s true the world could do with less spite.
Greed and Envy cause unnecessary wars and battles,
Leaving entire cultures rattled.
Pride and Sloth prevent us from helping the oppressed,
Leaving the world in a disastrous mess.
The wrath of tyrannical leaders,
Can put people within a meter
Of death and cold,
Both young and old.
The desire for self gratification, the Lust,
Makes us do what we must
To get what we want, to fill our Gluttony.
But only few see we can indeed change destiny
If we all showed a bit of Humility
And opened our eyes to see
The Kindness of the warm hearts around us,
To do more than what we must.
If we stopped the disease crises
And kept to Chastity.
If we refrained from lover’s violence
And kept to Abstinence,
If we showed those who need us most some Patience,
We may stop unneeded aggravations.
If we could be full of Liberality,
Sharing all of our generosity,
Then, maybe, with Diligence,
We can obtain a state of peacefulness.
