"The Magandie race (left) and Walgie race (right) are two very closely related races. They are more often then not found living together.
I did the descriptions together, i would have done them separate but they are to similar and a lot of stuff would be doubled.
##################################################################
Food Type:
Both are omnivores.
Animal Type:
The Walgie and Magandie are anthro creatures, they are very closely related, and interbreeding is possible without deformities.
Average Height:
An average adult Magandie can measure 1.1 meters, where as An average adult Walgie can measure 1.2 meters. (not including ears)
domestic/Wild:
Very Self Domestic. They domesticated each other over 1000s of years of Co-evolution.
Skills:
Many of the qualities that one creature lacks, exists in the other. This is why the two are very often seen together for survival.
Locations:
Found mostly all over the Near Lands. They prefer to be in sheltered areas with open spaces for farming. They live in built lumber houses, insulated with either thick walls of ground up fibrous plant waste or dirt.
Lifespan (earth years):
~65-75 in good care for both
Behavior:
The sleep cycle of both can be either nocturnal or diurnal depending on needs. they are a pray species to some much larger feral animals on Oesha so they need to keep watch in the day and night.
Both have very sensitive smell and hearing.
Out of all the races on Oesha the Magandie and Walgie are the most dramatic. Wars between the Magandie and Walgie alone are extremely rare as they would not survive without one another. instead, many mixed groups will war for food and Land. the Magandie and Walgie are a farming race, they need to grow as much food and raise as much livestock for them to survive the long 8-10 month winters on Oesha. (I'm not sure how many months of winter there are, the seasons on Oesha cycle every 1.453 earth years, and Oesha is farther from its sun so it is also colder, average global temperature on Oesha is 0°C, earth is 15°C. and i might even move it farther. i don't know meteorology! lol)
The Walgie are Very playful and energetic. They are more brave/worrier like compared with the Magandie. they sleep and eat more. and are stronger regardless of gender.
The Magandie are smaller and appear to be more calm and persistent. They don't need to eat or sleep as much, they have very careful motor skill coordination and information abilities. They often do things like planning, care giving and detailed text/map making. all regardless of gender.
Markings:
Just look at the picture really. All the markings they have in the picture are natural.
fur colours range from gray, brown, red, white, cream, and even a rare light blue.
Culture:
In Magandie and Walgie culture Interbreeding between the Magandie and Walgie is seen as a negative thing. (even though it is possible without deformities) Though many "forbidden love stories" are told of the two together.
If it does happen, any further breading on that line is removed. The mixed breads of the two often have both qualities but in lesser more washed out amounts. Though interbreeding can become necessary if population numbers become to low.
To the culture the planet Jeulio is the spirit of the seasons, growth, and the keeper of the light and dark.
It is considered flirting to touch ones own ears in front of another regardless of race.
And it is considered sexual or very rude to touch the ears of another without consent.
Traditions:
There is a tradition carried out by the Magandie and Walgie on the Near Lands. This tradition happens at the equinox of each year, when Oesha's shadow crosses the center of Jeulio's ring plain. The tradition consists of two statues. A summer statue and a winter statue. (i drew the statues maybe i should upload them here) When the northern Near Lands is in winter, the cultures there will hold and mount the winter statue for a safe passing of winter.
The opposite occurs on the southern side with the summer statue for good harvest.
When on exactly midnight of the equinox, the statues are traded between the north and the south to symbolically pass the seasons on to the opposite land.
There is much partying and celebrating during the trade. The statues are often licked by the ones who give it to the opposite land as a sine of peace. Though the statues are not officially erected in the north or the south lands until Oesha and Jeulio no longer eclipse each other in orbit, signifying the end of spring and fall, and the beginning of winter and summer to their respective lands.
Technology:
The Walgie and Magandie both use the same technology, there technology consists of things like: shovels, iron tools, brass, concrete pouring, bricks, weaving cloths, short range boats, basic star navigation, maps, writing, farming tools like hoes and plows, glass melting, pulleys, hammers, wheels, swards bows and arrows.
