Settled on this blue/green color scheme for now.
Think I might add a few gold or amber accents here and there later on though...

Just a friendly heads up; I get you're going for finding your own art style here, but to me it looks like you more or less are tracing the artist; RUdragon. In such cases; where the similarities are so obvious, I'd think it'd only be fair and good manners to credit the original art piece used as inspiration below, as well as the artist (RUdragon)
I'll help you credit where credit is due.

Same goes for the stretch picture ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/53348387/ ), you just uploaded; it has a timelapse on YouTube, and I wonder why the sketch is left out of that timelapse?
It looks very similar to this: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/46926467/

Hey there and thanks for your comment :)
RUdragon is indeed a huge inspiration for me. And while I really admire their artstyle, I can assure you that I don't have the intention to "copy" it, let alone trace their work.
I didn't notice it at the time, but this piece here really does look quite similar to the beach-picture you mentioned above, so I'm going to list it as inspiration.
I usually try to draw inspiration from multiple sources, not just one artist (so that stuff like this hopefully doesn't happen to often >_<), which is why "Ren Stretch" actually
originated from a reference-pose I found in a free asset library.
As to why the sketch is missing in the timelapse, that's because I normally do my sketches is sets of multiple doodles on a single canvas. I then pick a few I like the most and resize/refine them later after copying them to their own canvas. And as resizing canvases/Layers tends to mess up Krita's built-in canvas recorder, I usually don't bother recording the rough sketch.
(and I'm too lazy for video-editing ._.)
Anyway, I hope that cleared things up a bit :)
Thanks for the heads up and the advice,
I'll be sure to keep it in mind!
