After months and months of planning, sketching and designing a small team consisting of me Dingo and my friend BigAl0104 are happy to announce that we are officially kistartering our first game project "Kob The Bold"
Currently Kob the bold is in the process of developing a fully playable Demo which you will be able to play for free hopefully in the following months if everything goes well :D

What is Kob The Bold about?

"Kob the Bold" a sidescroller platformer inspired by "Wonderboy in Monster land and Castlevania" taking inspiration from many more successful and stylized games like Shovel Knight and even Legend of Zelda 2.
You will be embarking on a brave a wonderful adventure in the seat of our protagonist on a bold and yet brave journey through many lands of the Island of Ether!
A world filled with mythical creatures like Dragons, Furman, Demons, Fishfolk and many more fantastic creatures even humans, all set in the magical world of Ether, with variety of unique lands such as Forests, Sandy Dunes, Frosty Mountains and Foggy Scorched lands and yet many more!

Our Story takes in a one isolated village of Kobolds, living peacefully before an army of Gnul's sent by a Dark Dragon Overlord Dargon attacked and raided their home, kidnapping everyone in the process and scorching the land for what was their home... all... for except one. Kob the isolated Grumpy Kobold hid safely under a pile of mud and soil, rising from the ashes, rage filling his gaze as he walks through the remains of his home, he notices a trail leading to the Gnul's Settlement. He grabs a broken blade left by and starts dashing towards the army hoping to save his kin and stop the evil plans of Dargon and put end to his realm of darkness!

What features should I expect from the game?

Kob The Bold will be a stage based game with open world to explore and many bosses in form of bounty hunters and variety of hazards with each level sporting a unique quirk and feature to make them stand out with variety of foes and monsters to face! Each with their own unique behaviors and strategies you need to learn and adapt, you cant just bash someone who is holding a shield you gotta find their weakness ya see?
You will be also capable of sporting many weapons, armors, shields and even magic spells in forms of a active items to aid you on your quest with unlockable skills and abilities to help and guide you on your journey.
Meet a colorful cast of characters and many cities to visit and chat with people to get some worldbuilding as well quest to complete.
Optional missions and variety of challenges for those who wants to try harder trials to overcome.
Fun optional minigames to change up the game pace and to fill in more variety!
Simple and yet tight control system to learn and use with options of remapping controls!

What are your key points for your game?

- Level Variety - Bunch of unique levels and fun features to make them stand out.
- Unique Enemies - Based the Castlevania Symphony of the night variety of enemies each encounter will be unique and fun to adapt yourself into and even old enemies will get a fun tune up to make them surprisingly more challenging
- Challenging Bosses - with their own unique quirks and tricks to make every encounter unique
- Stage based system - to improve replayability and even sporting checkpoints with variety of optional missions, quests and tasks to accomplish!
- Variety of Weapons and Gear - Unique weapon types with their own advantages and disadvantages to gear yourself! Many Shops and power ups to find included!
- Skills, Abilities and power ups! - Unlocking new abilities to expand your movement arsenal with quirky and fun powers to gain to spice up and give you that boost will you need!

What will the Demo contain?

The Full Demo will have the following...
- Fully Playable First stage - which will be introduction to the game's mechanics and to also show off many of its early features.
- Shops to visit on the road! - Buy yourself a weapon from a small variety of cool weapons and gear to boost yourself and fight off the big baddy at the end!
- Build up for the full story - You will be put in a place to show of the beginning events of the story with wanting to know more what comes next!
- Experiencing fun combat system and many of its features

Is the game going to be free?

- Yes the demo but the full game will cost a lil.

Where can I expect the game to be published?

- Mainly Itch.io, Gamejolt, Steam, and other for publishing to consoles in the future :D

When will the demo and full game come out?

- Demo should be done in 3 - 5 months or so probably early before Christmas even and the Full game possibly in a year or two.

If you are willing you could help us and financially aid me and my friends to work on this game project, we only require the bare minimum to aid us to work on it more frequently so that we can concentrate working on it.

- For me I would really need a better workstation for my art and my old laptop is slowly giving in, I almost have enough for a new and a proper Pc so any funding would definitely aid me and help me GREATLY indeed!
- My friend BigAl would find it very useful as well to help pay his bills and also assist him in having more time developing the game :)
- And the rest would go into funding music and original sound effects to follow
