This is a character I created as part of a class concept art assignment. I decided to use it for practice with some new software I've gotten, called ArtRage. It's probably the best program ever created for emulating certain real-world art tools, such as the oil brush, which I exclusively used to color this drawing.

As far as I know, no more so than Photoshop. So unless you start working with tons of layers, or using a ten year old PC, it runs great.
