she was meant to be a wolf but... i can't escape the cat furries, man...
Meet my newest Sonic OC: May! I designed her in Sonic Pulse (reference image)
She was supposed to be classic but then I forgot how much I love character creators and added way too many details to her (other reference images here: https://sta.sh/2swgipseryp). As you can see below, my intrusive thoughts took over for a sec and made me give her open paws~ She also has 2 tails like Tails but she cant fly with them...
I don't have any lore for her but I guess her bracelet is magic or smthn? I did have an idea that she has a tiny, unfound shard of the Master Emerald from one of the times it was shattered and she can use a little bit of Chaos power such as weaker Chaos Control and Chaos Spears but nothing too strong or dangerous.
She does have a super form. If I ever draw it, you'll see why I called it her "Minty" form. A friend of mine pointed out that Tails likes mints. Since I can't legally ship them due to an age gap, I've decided that May and Tails have a big sis and 'lil bro relationship like he does with Sonic!
Wanna know a weird fact? The pose started out as Sonic Advance 3. No idea how we got here but I love it! Her right hand pointing was inspired by the Sonic Adventure pose so there's Uekawa inspiration all around!
If you can spot it, there's a little "sketchog" doodle at the bottom featuring May upset that she's short (2' 8" ish) and Kate proud that she's taller than someone! (3' 2")
also blue mouth tongue for unknown reasons. if you've seen some of my other characters, i'm sure you can guess where else she's blue...
