Well, looks like I did finally get something done for my 500 PV milestone.
I figured "What better way to celebrate such a sure to eventually be a pathetic milestone in my life ('cause after all, I'll eventually get to 5000) than with the introduction of a brand new character." So I introduce you all to Jay Brandenberg!
Jay is a spider monkey and is based off of a guy I know in real life. Like my friend, he has a rather care-free attitude, taking life as it's dealt to him. Jay is also ever ready to throw out self-depreciating humor and lewd innuendo at the drop of a hat (still like my friend).
The hair, however, is inspired by both my friend and the great Akira Toryama, the creator of the well known DragonBall series. The realization of the fact that he is a monkey, however, with a DBZ hairstyle came much later. After I'd already finished drawing Jay. Irony? HELL NO! Ok, maybe. But I'm rambling. Enjoy!
And please don't hesitate to leave any comments.

Thanks, bro. This is actually the first thing I've really drawn in a while, so I really appreciate the praise.
I'll admit that I didn't expect it to come out this well when I first started working on it (and there are still some things that bother me, but who doesn't have that problem, eh?), but there's no point in being modest when something turns out this well, I actually think that this is an incredible piece (for me). This year's been good so far, and it just seems to be getting better.
