my bf sent this to me a while ago, but it was a twitter link and i dont have twitter—i am so glad that i found this on FA. I absolutely love this art, i think it’s a really lovely idea to keep track of ideas this way, and i love the collage work!!! I wonder, how did you create this piece? Did you write down things, or just conjure them from memory? And how long did it take you to finish it? I hope you have a lovely day, i’m so happy i found this, this is one of my favorite pieces of art 💗

My process is a little shaky, but I tried to depict as many elements as possible from the date — I liked the idea of there being a clear emotional throughline, but with a lot of details that only make sense to us (like I kissed him after he won at shuffleboard, I gave him a fake tarot reading with those playing cards, we went to a science museum and pet some horseshoe crabs, etc).
Probably took me....4-6 hours? It's a style of composition I kind of stumbled upon, but I want to keep making a lot more like 'em!
