Broach is a loan shark who claims all that stick to his net and offers them back at a hefty price, his "mustache" is actually scars left behind from some long forgotten scuffle, and the hat he wears fell from the surface to him long ago. The Doubloons are a trio of balloon fish who accompany him: Harold, Giggles, and Sport, and Broach treats these playful beings as his own.
