Catling opened food themed commissions one day and I leapt on the opportunity. It was kind of an immediate realization that it could be a cute high chair scene, and she was kind enough to indulge me ^.^;
This whole idea came together super fast, the first sketch was mega adorable and it was basically a speedrun to completion! It wasn't until the very end that Catling went "hold on..." and came back with a version that was covered in red, with splatter on the wall, and we both immediately realized this was the true and complete version.
I LOVE HOW IT LOOKS LIKE A MURDER SCENE and she's just got the biggest smile on and is showing her messy hands XD
I love how soft and sweet she looks here!! I've always complimented Catling's ability to soft and I'll continue to do so as long as I get doodles from her!
The whole idea behind the scene was super cute - bun comes home from work and is immediately swooped up and placed into a cute little protective overdress and seated in a highchair and given treats! Strawberry tart and a sippy cup full of cherry juice ♥
I imagine whoever placed her into this situation is also responsible for the strawberry getting all over her, but she's a good sport when it comes to silly things like this and is more than happy to pose for a cute picture :3 Bath time is absolutely next on the list of activities once she finishes her treat...
