I wish I could give you some magic recipe, but what has worked for me is just practice and observing the drawings of others, some texsure brushes and photobash, but I still mostly do everything myself, just a few hours monotonously scrubbing the screen with a stylus
Improving is really awesome, but you know what? I absolutely love working on textures because it's my passion, not because it's the only way! Stylization is pretty cool too, it's all about enjoying the process rather than just chasing after impressive rendering. Let's keep having fun and creating awesome stuff!
Fully agreed. I aim to be able to create work like this, not because I feel I need to, but because it's awesome, and I want to. Though, I know where my skill level is atm and where I need to improve more, and it's fun working on that as well. I think as long as someone enjoys the journey of learning and improving, it's a worthwhile goal ^w^
