but he can change his texture
to coat himself in thorns or
coated in holes like a sea sponge,

It's a mixed martial art consisting of
various forms of Central Asian "Tha Jhi".
The style uses big circular arm motions.
These are both used to grab opponents
as well as perform huge haymaker hammerfist attacks.
In terms of the latter the speed of combos is very fast.
People say it strongly resembles Liu He Ba Fa in particular,
though it's technically the ancestor of Wushu.
It's often described as Capoeira for the arms.
probably because the kicks are low and blend in with steps.
