I don't know much about VR avatars, but I've been curious about getting my own. What kind of specs and or programs do I need to run this avatar? My laptop is pretty powerful for what it is, but I don't know if it's enough. I also don't know much about computers. Think you can help me?
I can only really give some general advice. I don't actually play VRChat very often, usually I'm just making stuff for it. But VR in general, if you're going to use a VR headset, requires a lot of processing power. Alternatively you can use desktop mode, but that's somewhat or a muted experience.
If you want to give it a try though, VRC is free. You don't need a custom avatar to get started! Find out if you enjoy it first.
This avatar is purposefully make relatively simple/basic so it should be fine to run on lower end machines if you're curious about the avatar itself compared to others. However VRC lets you know the general performance of an avatar in game, as it gives every avatar a rating from Green to Red. This avatar is all green.
I would generally say a laptop isn't powerful enough for VR, but a lot of has changed since I last looked into VR hardware properly (I own an original oculus Rift which they don't even make/sell anymore lol)

Yeh if you purchase it, it should be tied to your gumroad account or email I can't recall. but basically you'll be able to come back and download it anytime so long as you log into gumroad.
It also comes with a blender file if you want to use it in blender for animating or making renders. So its not just a VRC avatar

basically the box/topology was the original mesh without the subdivision on. The way I work is really basic shapes, very low poly cubes and spheres. and then a couple subdivisions on them.
When you edit the low poly mesh the subdivs leave it really smoothed out and basically prevent you from going too detailed.

Did something with the model here if you want to see (also had to learn how to manually set up IK rigging for this lol)
