After the Lyystranese made contact with Humanity, the two societies gradually merged, eventually forming a single culture calling themselves "Terrans," regardless of if they were Human or Lyystranese. In the year 2880, the asteroid 1950 DA collided with Earth, having eluded multiple attempts of both destruction and orbital diversion. The Lyystranese original interstellar ship (since repurposed as an orbital colony) became the home of Terran society while they waited for the ecosystem on the planet below to recover.

A millennium later, in the year 3880, Earth (renamed Terra) has been undergoing recolonization for the past 150-200 years, slowly becoming a prosperous planet once again. Along a walkway steps a pregnant woman; she is neither Human nor Lyystranese, but is descended from both. She is a Terran, and they call Earth "Home."
