A simple collection of attachment ideas for the West Point Rifle including:

-) No stock | Removing the already post-added stock is not advise as the recoil from the weapon might just knock you on your arse, but for those who want this weapon to look a bit more authentic, this is the option for you (However using this disabled the bolt-action version)
-) Stripped Stock | the basic equipped light backstock cut off a prewar assult rifle and chiseled to be slightly more light-weight
-) Recoil Compensated Stock |I don't have a good desciption for this one, as it looks to similiar to the hydraulic stock, but is better than the old one in its place...
-) Hydraulic Stock | Not only does it sport a more modern look, it also has functionality! using its hydraulics, it is able to compensate the constantly moving brooch-loader in the gun and makes it feel more comfortable to use, at the cost of weight.
-) Crank | The standard trigger mechanism of this device, for about half a turn it fires a bullet, while it starts off hard to fire as the brooch-loader is there, it becomes faster and faster with every turn until it reaches fully automatic.
-) Lever | An... interesting take for the device, it replace the old crank and uses a makeshift bolt in place, greatly reducing the fire-rate however in the hands of a good sniper, it is a powerful and accurate weapon! + instead of a crank per shot, a trigger mechanism had been equipped
-) No grip | for those who are uncomfortable firing an underhanded machine gun, no grip is a great option when using the device as an assult rifle, lean the stock against your arm, crank the device and hold it steady!
-) Top Eadh | The most common grip for heavy weapons making it easy to grip while in power armour or firing fully auto! it limits the vertical recoil at the cost of horizontal accuracy but perfect for indoors close quarters when space is requires you to be confined!
-) Side Eadh | A horizontal grip attached to the left side of the rifle, it is useful to have that perfect shot at the long range or needing a leverage point onto the weight of the rifle
-) No Magazine | again, not something advised as it removes quite a lot of the uses from the canon as it is useless if the crank is active but reduces the weight drastically!
-) Auto-Primer | Standard issue magazine used for a few of the William Guns in history, it reduced the use for a crew to fire this weapon and in fact lowered rate of injuries for the users, holding about five shells but can easily and quickly be reloaded
-) Canon-Magazine | A unique modification, stealing the concept from a few other machine guns are attempting to use it more on this canon, holding about 25 shells but takings slightly longer to reload and drastically increasing the weight
Now that you know how you can modify this weapon, remember to watch out for the steam from the exhaust line, it burns... a lot...
There are other modification unique to factions types, but these will be seen in the custom skins such as
[Minutemen] - [No effects]
[Brotherhood] - a unique cape model is equipped on the boot of the rifle, the bullets have a red tracer round similar to lasers
[Transcontinental] - The weapon emits steam while equipped in the player's (or NPCs') instead of a bullet sound, the gun produces a train horn sound, cranking (or bolting) the rifle producing the chugga-chugga train sound
