This car looks good, but it clearly looks like it has been altered a lot. The large rims sound awful, but at least the car's paint job looks all right.
Are you sure the car is not an Oldsmobile as its front looks more like an old 442? Then again, with Buicks, Oldsmobiles, and Buicks of the time being pretty similiar the vehicle definitely could be a Pontiac, too.

In the 60's it was still easy to identify a Buick, Cadillac, Chevy, Olds, and Pontiac from one another. Same thing for Ford, Chrysler, and lowly AMC ( American Motors) The 70's and government regulations curtailed designs... and the fuel crisis din't help. Now, cars are designed by computers... and foreign and domestic cars are bland and look the same. ( There are a few exceptions, off course)
Somewhere... Harley Earl, Bill Mitchell, Virgil Exner and Raymond Loewy are all turning in their graves.

I cannot agree with you more, and the distinctiveness of the modern car has gone out the window. You are indeed correct that the Harley Earls and his counterparts were really great designers. It really is a pity how modern cars seem to follow a cookie cutter design with even Buicks looking just like Lexuses.
Well, Bob Lutz had the right idea for some of his cars anyway, and it is nice to see portholes back on Buicks. Still, the distinctiveness of the Oldsmobile in this picture is something which I miss.
