Qty: Item
2 : 10 foot long pieces of 3” ABS (black) plastic pipe.
3 : 4 way connectors 3” ABS plastic pipe.
6 : 30 degree connectors 3” ABS plastic pipe.
7 : 3” to 2” pipe reducers ABS plastic pipe.
2 : 8 foot long 2” ABS plastic pipe.
7 : 2” Pipe caps PVC plastic pipe (white)
3 : 3” ABS plastic pipe caps.
1 : 3” ABS Toilet drain (curved piece used in base)
1 : 3” ABS 4 way drain connector (also used in base)
1 : 3” ABS plastic pipe to open end (used in base to connect to hose)
1 : Roll of Duct tape
1 : Bounce house fan (Kidwise 4L Blower with round outlet, 6.8 amps off Amazon.com)
1 : Can of ABS pipe cement.
1 : 3” dia flexible hose (Sawdust collection system hose is cheap)
Also needed: Chop saw or Hacksaw (Chop Saw is recommended for square cuts)
Drill with a selection of drill bits. Debur tool (optional)
Clean all cuts before gluing!
1) Cut 13 pieces of the 3” dia ABS pipe to 4.5” in length and set aside. You can use a utility knife to clean off the melted plastic from the cuts or you can get a hand held deburing tool and that works best.
2) Use one 4.5” pipe piece to join 3” 4 way drain connector to the 3” Toilet drain. Make sure that the drain section is 90 degrees from the 4 way connector and would be pointing straight up if put on the ground. Look at photo!
3) Cut 4 pieces of 3” dia pipe to 1.5 foot lengths, clean your cuts then glue three 3” caps to 3 of these pieces.
4) Glue the three pieces you just made into the 3” 4 way drain connector. LEAVE THE HOLE LEADING TOWARD THE CURVED UP SECTION OPEN!
5) Glue the last 1.5 foot length into the last hole in the 4 way drain connector. Now glue the 3” to open end connector onto the end of this pipe. This is your connection to the fan hose. Point it level or just up away from the floor.
6) Your base is now done, set aside and lets move on to the head holders.
7) Take a normal 3” ABS 4 way connector and a 4.5” length that you cut at the start and glue them together. You want the 4.5” piece in each side where the curves end.
8) Now take two 30 degree 3” ABS connectors and glue one on each end of the 4.5” piece you just glued in. Make sure they are straight, pointed up and the curved parts of the 4 way connector are pointed down! There are little “lines” molded in the connectors to make sure they line up. Look at the Photos!
9) Take two 4.5” pieces and glue them into the ends of the 30 degree connectors you just glued on.
10) Take two of the 3” to 2” ABS reducer collars and glue them on the ends of the 4.5” pieces you just glued on.
11) Cut seven 18” pieces of the 2” ABS pipe, clean your cuts, and glue on the seven 2” pipe caps. These are your head holders, take your drill and make a pattern of holes in the last 4 inches of the pipe (including the cap). I used both 7/16” and ¾” drills and alternated hole sizes. The holes are your air defusers.
12) Glue two of these 18” pipes you just made into the 3” to 2” reducer collars. You now have one of your head holders.
13) Repeat steps 6 through 11 to make the other two head holders.
14) Take your last 4.5” piece and glue it into the top of one of your head holder assemblies.
15) Take the last 3” to 2” reducer and glue that to the 4.5” piece.
16) Take your last 18” long pipe you made and glue it in to the 3” to inch reducer. This is now your top level head holder.
Now you must determine the height of your head dryer. I recommend making it no taller than 6’6” tall or no one will be able to reach the center top holder.
Cut one piece of 3” ABS pipe so that when you put it into your base, and put your first head holder assembly upon it, the head holders are not too tall and not too short. I recommend this first piece to be between 18” to 20” but use a length you see fit.
The next two pieces of 3” ABS should be between 12” and 14”. Again play with the lengths until you like the height and distance between head holders. Alternate the direction of the head holders on each level 90 degrees.
Once you have these pieces cut. Glue them into the bottom of each head holder assembly. But not each head holder to each other or to the base!
WALA!! You’re done! The pieces will easily slide into each other with a gentle twist and come apart just as easily. You can take them apart and store them flat making it much easier to have around.
The last bit is using the duct tape to connect your hose from the fan to the tree, plug in the fan and let the air tree dry all your sweaty fur and foam!
